Extra rambly today, just talking about temp art stuffs and how they influence playtests.

  1. Totally agree with that. Even if testers get instructed NOT to judge graphics they do it. I’m curious what the solution to this can be? Finalizing graphics before the game matures is not acceptable.

    PS: I’m confused because I’ve already seen part 7. You, coming back home with this energy drink…

  2. Only way around this is to copy paste other peoples art from games as placeholders. But even that backfires…they like it for the wrong reasons, mainly the IP.

    It can be very hard to prototype a game without putting in unnecessary man hours… Maybe stick to showing only developers that could appreciate it, and you could get much more feedback from them, because you are tapping into their experience while they play a very basic version of your game.
