  1. The outcry I saw seemed to be mostly about the classist remarks people were making in defense of the fee, not its expensiveness.
    I mean, it looks like there is rather little point to getting on
    Greenlight as it is currently set up ANYWAY. So it’s not that weird that
    people didn’t take up the offers, I guess?

    • I think Greenlight is still a really good system and people should probably sign up for it if they want their game on Steam… And it’s constantly being iterated on. I mean, people call out the impossibly high percentage rate, but Valve stated they set the bar impossibly high at first because they didn’t know what kind of responses they’d get. The only reason to *not* go on Greenlight seems to be the Fee, right?

      But I get the point that most people were reacting to the reactions, not the fee itself. It’s like the “girlfriend mode” debate – most of the arguments were around the defenders of the statement than the statement itself.
